At Valley View ISD, the safety of our students, staff, and community is our highest priority. Our comprehensive safety and security program focuses on prevention, student support, preparedness, and effective emergency response.

We continuously review and strengthen our procedures to ensure we follow best practices and maintain a safe, secure learning environment across all campuses.

Safety Training & Drills

Valley View ISD is committed to ensuring students and staff are prepared to respond in emergency situations. Each campus conducts regular safety training and emergency drills throughout the school year in alignment with state requirements.

Drills and training may include:

• Shelter (severe weather)
• Evacuation (including fire drills)
• Lockdown

These drills help reinforce the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and ensure that students and staff are familiar with safety procedures.

Safety & Security Audits

Valley View ISD conducts required safety and security audits of all district facilities in accordance with the Texas Education Code. These audits are conducted on a regular cycle to identify areas for improvement and ensure campuses remain safe and secure.
