The goal of the Technology Department at VVISD is to provide reliable, secure, and innovative technology infrastructure, tools, and support that enhance teaching, learning, and operational efficiency for all students and staff. The department will prioritize equitable access to educationally appropriate digital resources, promote responsible technology use, and continuously adapt to the evolving educational and cybersecurity landscape to prepare students for success in a digital world.

In support of this mission, the department will strengthen cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure system integrity, implement cost-effective and sustainable technology solutions to maximize district resources, foster safe online environments that actively address and prevent cyberbullying, and enhance internal and external communication systems to ensure timely, transparent, and effective information flow across the district.
