Valley View ISD to Participate in Homeschool UIL Opportunities for 2025–26

Valley View ISD is proud to announce that it will not be opting out of Senate Bill 401 for the 2025–26 school year, allowing homeschool students who reside within the district to participate in University Interscholastic League (UIL) activities.
Under Texas law, school districts must allow homeschool participation in UIL academic, athletic, and fine arts activities unless the school board votes to opt out. By choosing to participate, Valley View ISD is providing homeschool students the opportunity to join our Eagles in competitions and events alongside their peers.
Homeschool students who are zoned to a district that opts out of UIL participation may take part in UIL activities at the nearest district that participates. With this decision, Valley View ISD reaffirms its commitment to expanding opportunities for all students in our community.
