Scholarship Opportunities



  • Lockheed Martin has established a scholarship program to provide opportunities to students studying engineering or computer science that demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. In 2022, up to 200 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each are offered for full-time study at an accredited U.S. institution of the student's choice.

    Applicants of the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Program must be:

    • U.S. Citizens.
    • Current high school seniors with a cumulative 2.5 or above GPA, or current college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors with a cumulative 2.5 or above GPA.
    • Planning to enroll or already enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
    • Majoring or planning to major in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
    • Demonstrate financial need.
    • Be willing to consider a paid internship with Lockheed Martin following their freshman, sophomore or junior year of college, other circumstances notwithstanding (note: the internship is not required to receive a scholarship, and scholarship recipients are not guaranteed an internship).

  • If you've been involved in FFA, FCCLA, or 4H for at least 2 years in high school, you are eligible to apply for the Friends of Valley View Youth Supporters Scholarship.  This is a $500 scholarship for a VV senior Deadline is April 1st.

  • Robertson and Moss Attorneys are offering a $1000 scholarship to a Valley View senior
    with financial need.  Two letters of recommendation are required.  See the scholarship file in the high school office for applications.  The deadline is April 4th, return to Mrs. Metzler.

  • Valley View Area Chamber of Commerce Community Service Scholarship (In memory of Denise Martine Pearse)

    Valley View and Era ISD students are eligible to apply Two $500 Scholarships will be awarded Eligibility:

    1. This scholarship will recognize students who have actively served their local community by volunteering, tutoring, church service, serving at local city events, etc.

    2. Applicant must attend a recognized Institution of Higher Education (College, Technical School, or other Post-Secondary Educational Institution).

    3. Applicant must be of good character as evidenced by (1) a letter of recommendation from a supervising community leader, principal, pastor, event coordinator, etc.

    The application must be typed and returned to your High School Counselor on or before April 22, 2022.

  •  Apply online for the UIL scholarship by May 13 if you competed at the UIL Academic State Meet, CX Debate State Meet or OAP State Meet in high school and plan to attend college in Texas. SAT/ACT is waived for 2022 graduates. To apply online visit 2022 TILF Scholarship Application (
