Thanks to a second-place finish at the UIL 2A-6A Region 2 Meet on October 23, 2023, the boys’ cross-country team qualified for the State Championship for the 13^th consecutive year.

The Eagles scored 122 points, just behind Atlanta High School with 114. Out of 182 runners, Sophomore Zane Reynolds led the Eagles, finishing 11^th, clocking 17:11.44. Sophomores Kaden Jenkins and Giovanni Nava were 15^th and 20^th, with times of 17:32.29 and 17:48.79. Freshman Landon Minhinnett was 37^th (18:22.96), and Senior Logan Sandmann was 66^th (19:16.47).

Also running for the Eagles were freshman Brendan Daughty, 86th, 19:41.06, and sophomore Chase White, 105th, 20:06.55.

There will be a send off for the boys on Thursday, November 2, at 7:55 a.m. Parents and community members can park in the football field parking lot to honk and cheer as they leave.
