The UIL science team placed first at the State UIL Academic meet in Austin.  Jayde Wolfenbarger placed 4th overall, Gabriella Dickinson placed 8th with the top Biology score, Jimmie Jones Placed 11th and Kollin Meyer placed 16th.  This is the second year in a row that the science team has placed first in State.  The team is coached by Ava Nickerson.  Congratulations UIL Science Team!

Both the high school softball and baseball teams have made the playoffs.  Congratulations for a great season!

These athletes have qualified for the state track meet the weekend of 5/10 thru 5/11:

Gonzo Dominguez:  1st in the 2 mile and the 1 mile
Micah Davidson:  2nd in the 2 mile and 3rd in the 1 mile
Kayley Calhoun:  1st in the 2 mile and 2nd in the 1 mile

Other athletes who performed well at the regional track meet and narrowly missed going to the state meet:

Hunter Barnes:  3rd in the 2 mile (1.7 seconds away from going to state), 4th in the 1 mile
Kollin Meyer:  6th in the 800
Savanna Schneiderjan:  4th in the 800
Erica Sappington, Gabi Dickinson, Kayley Calhoun, and Savanna Schneiderjan:  8th in the mile relay.

The VVHS One Act Play, Vanities, will present a public performance April 8th at 7:00 pm in the Elementary Gym. 

Austin Grant placed 3rd for Entrepreneurship at the state competition.  He will be going to Disney World in May for the National Leadership Conference.  Congratulations, Austin!
