Valley View Girls Powerlifting Team Shines at Regional Meet.

The Valley View girls powerlifting team had a successful competition at the Regional meet on February 25 at Bells High School.

In the 259 lb. class, senior Nyla Blankinship took first place and qualified for the State meet on March 15 in Frisco, Texas. This is Nyla’s second regional championship and her fourth time qualifying for state.

Along with Nyla, Maria Puga, Bree Lybbert, and Nona Barlett rose to the occasion and put on an impressive display of determination and strength. Maria Puga took 4^th place in the 198 lb. class, Bree Lybbert took 8^th place in the 97 lb. class, and Nona Bartlett took 10^th place in the 181 lb. class.
