Sport Specific Practice Schedule



A well-organized and properly coordinated strength and conditioning program is vital to the success of the Valley View athletics program.  Regardless of the sport(s), an athlete participates in, there cannot be too much effort spent on strength training and conditioning to minimize or prevent injury, enhance athletic performance, and develop mental discipline. The Valley View athletic department intends that our athletes will participate in our strength and conditioning program.  All strength and conditioning activities (in-season, out-of-season, and summer) will comply with UIL guidelines.


The goal of the Valley View sports performance program is to provide our student-athletes the means by which, he or she, can develop a strong work ethic, discipline, attitude, and pride in one’s self and the total program.  Our student-athletes will train consistently, sensibly, and systematically by design.  As coaches, we will provide a safe and professional environment for our student-athletes.  Our staff believes strength and conditioning is the key component to achieving a successful athletic career at VVISD.   As coaches, we continue to evaluate, develop, research, implement strategies to give our student-athletes the cutting edge to achieve optimal athletic performance.


*There is no cost for attendance.

*The summer condition and sport-specific practice schedule is for incoming 7th-12th graders.

*All participants will be able to eat a free School breakfast at 7:30 and a hot lunch at 11:45.

*Athletes must have a current physical on file with the trainer.

*Athletes will not be allowed in locker rooms. They must be dressed and ready when they arrive.


7:30 to 8:00 Breakfast

8:00 to 10:30 Strength and conditioning

10:30 to 11:30 Sport Specific Training

11:45   to 12:15 Lunch

June 1 Weight room is open for HS boys at 8:00 and HS Girls at 9:00

July 5th Facilities Closed

July 27th Weight room is open for HS boys at 8:00 and HS Girls at 9:00
