Security
- When you are finished
working at the workstation you are working at, LOG OUT!
- Do not share your
login information, there should never be a need to do this. If you
need rights and access to something on the network which you currently
don't have, request it from Technology.
- Keep in mind when
you give out your email address to websites on the internet, you are
opening yourself up for a lot of junk mail, please read privacy policies
before submitting your email and make sure it is a website you trust.
- All user folders
are scanned periodically and any inappropriate content will be deleted
usually without warning, be sure to always comply with the VVISD Technolgoy
Acceptable Use Policy, student folders containing inappropriate content
will be locked and reported to their computer teacher.
Reducing
Potential Technical Problems
- At the end of they
day, shut your computer down. Monitors and printers will go on standby
so it is not necessary to shut them down also.
- Keep your computer
and equipment off of the ground. Dirt and dust is worst at the ground
and this will greatly reduce the longevity of your equipment. If you
have no other place to put your equipment but on the ground, try to
put it on something that will elevate it at least four or more inches
off the ground.
