Valley View, TexasNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Valley View Independent School District will hold a Public hearing on Monday, the 17th day of December, 2007, at 6:45 p.m., in the Bert Glascock Memorial Library of the Valley View ISD, 700 Frontage Road, Valley View, Texas, for the purpose of: compliance with Subchapter B, Chapter 11, Section 11.253, of the Texas Tax Code and Article VIII, Sec. 1-n(d) of the Texas Constitution.The Valley View Independent School District at its regular meeting at the above named time, date, and location, will conduct a Public Hearing on the adoption of an Order to tax tangible personal property in transit which would otherwise be exempt pursuant to Sec. 11.253 of the Texas Tax Code.This action relates to whether certain tangible personal property held temporarily at a location in this state for assembling, storing, manufacturing, processing, or fabricating purposes (goods –in – transit) shall remain subject to taxation by Cooke County as it has in the past.

of the meeting covered by this Notice, the Board of Trustees should determine
that a closed or executive meeting or session of the Board of Trustees is
required, then such closed or executive meeting or session as authorized by
the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et seq.,
will be held by the School Board at the date, hour, and place given in this
Notice or as soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this Notice
as the School Board may conveniently meet in such closed or executive meeting
or session concerning any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including,

Should any final action,

session, then the final action, final decision, or final vote shall be either:

meeting covered by the Notice upon the reconvening of the public meeting;
or
(b) at a subsequent
public meeting of the School Board upon notice thereof; as the School Board
shall determine.
On this 14th day of December, 2007 this Notice was faxed to news media who
had previously requested such Notice and an original copy was posted on the
door in the School District Administration Building at 4:00 p.m. on said date.
