VALLEY VIEW INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Notice is hereby given that on January 21, 2008, a Public Meeting begins at 6:45 pm followed by the regular Board meeting, and will be held at the Bert Glascock Memorial Library, located at 700 Frontage Rd., Valley View, Texas. The district’s 2006/2007 Annual Performance Report is a culmination of information compiled using the annual Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) from the Texas Education Agency and the Federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) Report. Administrators will give their campus reports along with the Superintendent giving the District Report. The Director of our Federal Programs will give the AYP District report.

VALLEY VIEW INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Notice is hereby given that on the 21^st day of January, 2008, at 6:00 p.m., the Board of Trustees of the Valley View Independent School District will hold a Planning Session followed by a Public Hearing and the Regular Board Meeting at the Bert Glascock Memorial Library, 700 Frontage Rd., Valley View, Texas. The subjects to be discussed are listed on the agenda which is attached to and made a part of this Notice.

If, during the course of the meeting covered by this Notice, the Board of Trustees should determine that a closed or executive meeting or session of the Board of Trustees is required, then such closed or executive meeting or session as authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Section 551.001 et seq., will be held by the School Board at the date, hour, and place given in this Notice or as soon after the commencement of the meeting covered by this Notice as the School Board may conveniently meet in such closed or executive meeting or session concerning any and all purposes permitted by the Act, including, but not limited to the following sections and purposes:

Should any final action, final decision, or final vote be required in the opinion of the School Board with regard to any matter considered in such closed or executive meeting or session, then the final action, final decision, or final vote shall be either:

(a) in the open meeting covered by the Notice upon the reconvening of the public meeting; or

(b) at a subsequent public meeting of the School Board upon notice thereof; as the School Board shall determine.
